We hired a contractor to build the structure to insert the fireplace into (and had it hardwired-highly recommend). It was an easy install for him, but we would have struggled with it! We don’t often run the heat output simply because it’s on a level in our house that doesn’t need it but when we do, its does a fine job, it keeps our living area warm which was our goal.
